Event Based Rules : BOL, BOP, BOT, EOL, EOP, EOT

Hi Experts,

Can someone please help me understanding these events ( BOL, BOP, BOT, EOL, EOP, EOT) with a practical example, Can we use these events for real time replication, meaning real time replication is more or less at a record level data transfer ( not like package processing as it happens in BW).

i did search manytimes but couldn't get any good examples on the usage, please guide me
