I have been trying to find documents describing automatic failover scenarios for SLT implementations, but I have not been able to find any documents.
Using backup we are able to do a recovery, which is the very standard we know from SAP (and mentioned in the SLT operation guide), but is it possible to handle some kind of automatic failover in case the server or maybe even the datacenter goes down?
To be honest, I don't really know how automatic failover could happen, but I can imagine that some companies might have it as a requirement.
And are there different solutions using either MS based servers or Linux/Unix servers?
I hope you are able to provide some suggestions.
