DMC_INDXCL

Hello, In initial loads of huge tables with reading type 5 it takes days to load the table DMC_INDXL, during this time the loaded table is empty. IS there a way to load the indexes table before stop\start the loaded table in SLT and save the time which we don’t have data on HANA? Thanks, Amir

Source System Archiving Impact to HANA Live

Per SLT Operations Guide, to prevent Archive Deletes from being Replicated to a Target System the archiving job needs to be run on a dedicated application server on the source system. It lists the below configuration steps on the source system to accomplish this:

In the source system in table IUUC_RT_PARAMS, set the field IU_PARAMETER to ARCHSERVER, and the field IU_VALUE to <the Name of Application Server> (note that you can only enter one application server).

I am looking for further clarification on application server. If we install multiple application server instances on a physical server and dedicate one of the instances for archiving,  can we specify just that app server instance in this table?  Or does it refer to the physical server hostname which will in effect include all app server instances running on that HW?

SLT initial load status is scheduled for very long time.

Hi Experts,

We are currnetly working on SLT SPS7 version. We scheduled a initial load couple of hours ago and the status in data provisioning in HANA studio shows

"Scheduled".

I Verified the jobs in SLT server and there seems to be a "/1LT/IUC_CALC_ACP_002_01" job running for the time when I executed my initial load.

Please see the screen shot of reference. Also for the information, this table has more than 100 million records in it.

SLT view replication

Hi,

We have just updated our DMIS from SP4 to SP7 in order to replicate view as it is supported only from SP6. We are confused with the way how the view works. In LTRS, we created the filter settings for the view. Then tried to add the view in LTRC, but it gave the error "Table class VIEW of table /POSDW/V_AGGRTI is not supported for data provisioning" with the option 'Start Load' or 'Start Replication'. The underlying tables of the view already exists in the target schema in HANA. Then i tried the option 'Create Table or DB view'. It created the view in the hana database and then disappeared from the LTRC table overview. The view structure in HANA is not as per the filter settings, the view structure is same as the source system.

My questions are:-

1) Is Create Table or DB view is only option for adding view? whether other options like Initial Load or Replication will not work for it?

2) Why the view is not created as per the filter settings mentioned in LTRS

3) Why the view is not displayed in the Tables Overview? Is it correct behaviour?

4) What difference does it make if we create the view directly at the HANA database instead of using SLT?

DD02L is not in "Replicate" status and can not replicate other tables

Hi all,

After I complete SLT installation and configure data replication from ECC to HANA, I found that DD02T and DD08L can replicate succssfully and data is correct.

DD02L also have the data in hana but the status is not "Replicate".

I tried to replicate data such as BSEG and other tables to HANA, I can create the replicate jobs, but no table is replicated to HANA and status is always "Scheduled", I tried many times to delete triggers and configurtions, the result is always the same.

Does anyone meet the problem and give me some suggestions? Thanks!

My version:

ECC 6.06 SAP_BASIS 731 DMIS_2011 SP7

SLT  7.4   SAP_BASIS 740 DMIS_2011 SP7

SAP HANA SPS9 Rev90

Many thanks!

How to use SAP LT for targeting a non-HANA System

Hi There,

we want to create an application that replicating the SAP Data Source to another 3rd Party Database. As we stumbled upon the technology that introduced in the SAP LT Replication Server, we really keen to try this. However, we can't find a documentation regarding this issues. Is there a possibility to use the SLT to replicate data from SAP and targeting into another DB-System (non-Hana) ?

The question comes up, because the interface for accessing other Non-SAP Source is basically already there (however it is intended to load the data), so theoritically we can use the same interface to transfer the delta data with event based triggered.

Does anyone have an experience on this case ? It would be nice, if you can suggest a better approaches.

Thanks

No access plan found for table ANLC

Hello Experts,

I have applied parallel replication for ANLC table in production environment, and it worked perfectly as I set in DMC_ACSPL_SELECT table,  But to my surprise I have found 6 entries in logging table /1CADMC/00000372 which is created for ANLC in source table(screenshot is attached). As I have set rule as entries greater than equal to 2014 for Field GJAHR only come to hana. But don’t know why these 6 entries came into this table where GJAHR = 2013. And now I am getting error that No access plan found for table ANLC and The troubleshooting activity has detected critical issues”.

Update existing value through SLT

Hello,

Can you suggest me how to update an existing table row entry? We use SLT to transfer data from ECC to HANA. Suppose, if the customer has changed his address say from Street 1 to street 2 the same gets updated in the relevant tables in ECC ( KNA1, ADRC etc ) but the same is not reflected in HANA . I presume through SLT we will be able to get new records into HANA but if there is an update on the existing row then the same is not by default captured through SLT? Am i correct and is there a way to achieve the desired result ( i.e capturing the update on the existing row into HANA)

SLT pointing to HANA via db tunnel throws an error during creation of configuration

Hi,

I am trying to replicate data from MS SQL database to Hana via SLT. I have configured the MS SQL database in DBCO and the connection test is successful. I have opened up a db tunnel using the HCP SDK from the SAP SLT server. Using the LTR transaction, I am trying to create a new configuration. In the HANA target details, I enter the user name as DEV_*, password as specified in the command console by sdk, host as localhost:30015. When I specify the configuration name different from NEO_* I see an error "Error opening db connection" and when I enter NEO_* as the configuration name I see an error "invalid table name: Could not find table / view RS_REPLICATION_COMPONENTS in schema SYS_REPL". I cannot see a SYS_REPL schema and I am assuming that this should be created. Any suggestions on how I can get past this error?

Thanks!

Hi All,

Can you please explain the difference between event based and field based transformation rules and when to decide which of the two will be of help? I got few links which mentions the step by step for events but not for field based rules. I am new to SLT and would like to go through both and decide which will be of use to my case?

Replicating Microsoft BPC on SQL Server to HANA using SLT

Hi All,

I understand that SLT will work just fine non-sap sources and in my case, SQL Server 2008.  I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with replicating BPC tables.  We're currently copying the FACT, FAC2 and Writeback tables to a staging location hourly and running some ETL on that, but would like to try out the replication of this data to get near realtime data to work with.

Anyone with any tips regarding what not to do when replicating BPC would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

We have recently upgraded our SLT system from DMIS Add on to SP7 from SP4.We exported the filter settings of all the tables from LTRS of our DEV system. Then we tried to import the filter settings in QA system but changed fileds are not getting populated.View Modification Overview is showing all the fields.

Can anyone suggest how to carry out Table settings change across the landscape in SP7?

SAP BW prerequisite notes

Hello,

I am trying to make a list of notes which should be implemented on the SAP BW when implementing real-time data replication using SAP LT Replication Server. I have only found the following

SAP BW

===============================

SAP note:1808251

System Requirements

===============================

SAP BW 7.0: min. SP level – SP17

SAP BW 7.01 and 7.40: min. SP level – SP00

SAP BW 7.02 – 7.31: min. SP level – SP01

Minimum DMIS_2011 SP level: SP02 or DMIS_2010 SP07

Does anyone more information/list of notes?

Please kindly share your experiences, what notes are mandatory on SAP BW as target system.

DMIS SP6 questions

Hello everybody!

i think this inquiry should have 3 simple (but maybe not easy) answers (as of DMIS SP6):

  1. 1. if SLT requires table DD02L to be loaded and that table has an entry for BSEG but not for RFBLG then why does table IUUC_PERF_OPTION in SAP namespace have RFBLG and not BSEG?
  2. if only RFBLG, but not BSEG, can be 'transformed' during the initial load then no rules can be applied via IUUC_***_RUL_MAP, can they?
  3. once BSEG gets 'unclustered' during the load, the subsequent 'transformations' happen in calc view, don't they?

Thx,

greg

SLT Statitics in LTR for some tables are Red

$

Hi,

I have a dedicated SLT server setup (Medium size) for HANA Side car scenario with following info;

ABAP Source System

- OS: AIX, DB: Oracle, Kernel: NW 740 SP 31, Business Suite Level: ECC 617 SP 01

HANA Server (target)

- OS: SUSE Linux Enterprise, HANA SPS 08

I started to replicate tables for HANA VDM (HANA Analytics for ERP 1.0). At the beginning all  table statics shows green. After some time, some of the tables statics is showing red. There has been some disconnection from ECC but replication is running with no issue. Number of records between ECC table and HANA tables are matching as well. I checked all SM50, SM37 and other tcodes and things are running. Could you advise?

Thanks,

Niaz

Replicate from multiple oracle schemas in single instance to hana

$

Hi -

I am replicating Oracle Leasing to Hana and have 50 tables spread across 7 schemas.

I want to use a single Hana schema for the connection.

For example

schema1 has 5 tables

schema2 has 4 tables

User SLT_ADMIN has the following Oracle privs:

  • create any table
  • create trigger
  • select any table

From Hana studio, I try to replicate table

     schema1.table1

Hana returns message that table has no columns and prefixes table as if it is SLT_ADMIN.SCHEMA1.TABLE1.

In a different test, I create the same tables in the SLT_ADMIN schema and can replicate successfully.

What configuration do I need to setup as SLT_ADMIN to allow me to replicate tables owned by other schemas?
