Impact on replication into CAR when ECC is refreshed ?

Hi,

 

I am using SLT to replicate data from SAP FMS (SAP Fashion Management Solution, similar to ECC)  to SAP CAR. 

We are currently in the implemention phase and the replication is working fine.

 

I now want to refresh FMS system and bring in a cleaner and larger set of master data. But I do not want to rebuild CAR !!

I want to know how I can replicate the new data into CAR without rebuilding CAR ? Detailing some steps would be helpful ..

 

For instance, should I

 

1. First stop SLT replication

2. Showdown CAR

3. Refresh FMS

4. Reconfigure .. SLT

5...delete SAP_ECC Schema from CAR..

 

 

On a similar note, after we go live with the solution, we would be refreshing Quality Environment from productions occasionally to get master and transactional data. I want to know how should this scenario be handled ?

SAP SLT- Modification logs are not getting updated in SLT logging tables in Source System

Hello Experts,

 

I have created replication for MARA table in a STANDALONE SLT system and its in replication status. But when there is a modification in MM02 (Material Change) for a particular material, MARA Logging table is not getting updated ( /1CADMC/00000923 ). Please advice if I have missed any thing.

 

logging Table in Source: /1CADMC/00000923

 

Triggers in Source : 

/1LT/00000000923UPD1

/1LT/00000000923DEL

/1LT/00000000923INS

 

Transparent Table in SLT standalone system (Activated  and Created) : /1LT/00000000954

Triggers not getting Created in ECC using SLT for MARA table

Hello BJ,

 

I tried replicating and load data from MARA table in ecc to hana DB, i am getting the below error

i went to ecc to check the status in tcode IUUC_Remote, there are no triggers for table MARA

 

I think the system is not able to create automatically triggers for MARA table.

 

I searched a lot but of no use, our source(ECC) Database is HDB

SLT Replicate view

Situation

We habe a DB2 to DB2 replication scenario.

So far we successfully replicated a view from DB2 to DB2

View name: ZVIEW_ASDF2


Problem

When we extend the view e.g. output one column twice with a different column name.

Then the replication fails with the error:

Migration object Z_ASDF2_025 has been deleted due to changes in table definition



Any Ideas how to fix the problem?

Table Replication Failed in SAP SLT...No Error log found

Hello SLT Experts,

 

I am replicating table VBUK using SAP SLT to HANA Database using transaction LTRC.

The data flow is like this SAP ECC -> SAP SLT -> HANA database.

But it fails to generate Triggers in source system (SAP ECC) and the replication ends in failure status.

 

I tried to find out if any frozen or old triggers are sitting in SAP ECE using transaction IUUC_REMOTE, but could not find any existing triggers in ECC.

 

Also, there is no error log recorded in SAP SLT or SAP ECC system on why the replication failed.

 

Here are system details for DMIS.

 

DMIS Info for Replication Server:

 

 

Release: 2011_1_731

Support Package Level : 0009

 

 

 

 

DMIS Info for Source System:

 

 

Release: 2011_1_700

Support Package Level : 0009

 

 

Can you share few insights on this problem?

How to split only HR instance from existing ERP instance.

I am wondering how to migrate whole HR data that has included transaction,IMG and customer based objects data to new system from existing ERP system. Simply,,, how to separate HR data from existing ERP system.

 

SAP LT replication server is possible to split as i above mentioned?

SAP LT replication server advanced settings document

Hi,

 

I am looking for any updated version of the advanced replication settings document.

 

Documents on adv replication settings found in blogs

http://scn.sap.com/community/replication-server/blog/2013/06/10/starter-blog-for-sap-lt-replication-server  and

http://scn.sap.com/community/replication-server/ were created in 2012 and not showing on how to use the options in new versions.

 

If any one has a new document that points to advanced replication settings in new versions like SLT 2.0 with DMIS 2011_1_731 SP 0010 SAPK-11610 will be helpful.

LT replication issues

Hi

 

We are working on LT replication server to extract data from an SAP based system (4.6C) with target as LT replication server itself (NW 740 based system). My understanding is that this is considered as an ABAP to ABAP scenario.

 

As part of this we have configured replication server to connect to source system and target as same system. We extracted the DD02L, DD02T, DD03L and DD03T tables. We have also extract DD09L tables to the target system.  When we try to extract an application table say for example BKPF or MAKT or etc..we get an error saying “Error when reading the DDIC-data for table <XXXX> (RFC destination XXXXXX)” .

 

Our aim is to extract the data from source using LT replication server and use LEW further to archive the data and decommission the old SAP system.

 

Has anyone faced this error?

How to Re-replicate a table with SLT

Hi,

We use SLT to replicate table from SAP to HANA. Today I found one replication was failed. After I checked in SLT, I found there is a trigger missing on the source table for some reason.  I delete the table in HANA, then try to re-replicate it. It was failed. How to re-replicate the table again?

Replication to different schema

Hi Experts,

 

We are replicating from ECC to HANA DB.

Our requirement is to replicate data to specific schema but not with that default schema user (or same as configuration name).

 

Suppose, the DB user which we want to use is "DB1" and we want data in Schema "ECC".

 

There can be two cases:

 

Case 1:

We can keep configuration name as "ECC" so that the schema name will be "ECC".

But in this case replication user will also be "ECC" which we dont want.

 

How to use different replication username than default config/schema name ??

 

Case 2:

I can keep whatever name for configuration but replicate data only to specific schema.

 

How to point replication to specific schema??

Migration object Z_AUFK_166 has been deleted due to changes in table definition

Hi All,

 

I am getting the error " Migration object Z_AUFK_166 has been deleted due to changes in table definition" when replicating AUFK for Central Finance. There are no changes done on AUFK and other related tables in the AUFK object in source and Target,

 

I am on DMIS 2011_1_700 SP 8, support pack SAPK-11308INDMIS.

 

Can you please suggest what could be an issue here? Are there any OSS notes available?

Error While replicating ECC DS TO HANA using BW server.

Hello Experts,

 

We have SLT installed on our BW server, in which we are using only financial DS(ECC DATASource) to modeling in BW.

 

In the same system we will be using few of the DS(Ex. 2LIS_13_VDITM), to replicate the same to HANA using DXC,

 

I have created the table which stored DXC data sources, and made the settings(Schema name, datasourcename &  table settings in BW),

 

But when i am trying to replicate the datasource(After maintaining the data in table which stores the DS names), i am getting the below error

 

Error in HANA DB system: Unable to modify DSO table '2LIS_13_VDITM': no key field defined (at least one of the defined columns m

 

Could any one please help.

Advanced SLT replication scenario

Hello Experts,

 

I've been using SLT for some time but mainly for 1:1 replication without changes. Just now tried my first SLT enhancement for read text.

 

Thanks to Justin Molenaur, HANA Distinguished Engineer and Tinkerer 's blog...

 

Now I've come across a scenario where I need to transform data; here are few challenges:

 

1. For any record created in LIPS (Delivery item) in ECC, first I need to get respective orders / statuses from VBAP, VBUK, VBUP etc, then call standard ECC ABAP function module passing on selected data records

2. output of this function module has schedule line information with delivery data (Completely difference granularity and keys than LIPS)

3. This output needs to be written in ZVBEP table in HANA.

 

In a nutshell, LIPS is source and ZVBEP (same keys as VBEP with one additional column) is destination + ability to call ECC function module.

 

Is this even possible in SLT? Or should I be looking at BODS/ SDI tools?

 

Real-time replication is key requirement; if not i'll simply write a program in ECC and dump in a Z table.

Query on SLT capabilities

Hi Experts,

 

Can you please let me know your views on below two pointers?

 

1. as per new features of DMIS 2011 SP08,

          a.  replication into SAP ABAP-based system(table based)

          b.  replication into SAP ABAP- based system into Application layer is technically possible.

query1 -    so if I want to carry out replication from Hana to ECC for tables only, what are the steps to be followed?

query 2-    what are the limitations for scenario(b) mentioned above?

 

 

2. 'Load' option is a one time event wherein, complete records of data flow into destination target and then stops.

query 3-    suppose if I want to carry out full load on a daily basis for some tables, can SLT be used in this case?

 

Kindly suggest.

Duplicate Key Error while Load/Replication

Dear Colleagues/Experts,

 

I'm trying to run replication on a table having very large number of entries. I've used reading type as 5-Sender Queue and have also defined range for initial load in advanced settings.

The Replication started with initial load. However towards the end when the load was almost done with very few records left, I received an abort message stating 'Duplicate KEY'.

 

On checking the range, I found that the last range had an overlap with the previous one. I've corrected them now.

 

My question is can the system consider the changes in the ranges and can resume the load or do I need to stop the replication and start again, for the logging tables to be re-created. It seems that I'll have to stop and re-start.

Seeking your advice.

 

Basically, due to a large number of records, majority of which is already loaded, I'm trying to avoid stop and start of replication.

Hanged Full Load(Snapshot) request in ODQMON, not able to clear them

Hi ALL,

 

Please find the details for the ongoing SLT-ODP extraction issue below in our system

 

Issue : Not able to extract KNOV data for SLT-ODP scenario.

 

Analysis :

We tried to pull KONV table from GEC with filter but loads are not getting completed successfully.

 

During my analysis, I have found that previous Full Load request got hanged in ODQMON as it’s showing extraction running and there is no option to stop this from SLT. Please note that ODP queue is itself is in active and ODP delta queue reorganize job also not able to clear these. We did not find any active back end jobs for the same. As a result of these hanging jobs, we are also not able to load any other request. Please note only Full Load(Snapshot) request are getting hanged in ODP when we cancel them from BW.

 

We already tried below step , but still not able to stop it.

 

  1. Cleared all the Runtime objects and reload the Init.
  2. Delete the DataSource and recreate it and reload the Init.

 

Do any one know how to clear the hanged Snapshot request from ODQMON ?

Recently I have upgraded HANA system from Rev 83 to SPS 09. After upgrade slt replication stopped working.

 

Tried creating a new configuration in SLT, below is the error while creating a new configuration.

Sybase Replication Issue

Hi experts,

I'm working on replicating tables from sybase ase. But there are 2 problems that I can't solve till now.

 

1. in my previous thread I found that if the table's name is lower case, SLT will not be able to replicate it.

    Does anyone once face same issue? It's quite a problem because SAP system treat all letters as upper case, but the sybase system is case sensitive. Sybase system is our transaction system. It will be lots of work to change the tables' name to upper case.

2. About replicating view, I followed the knowledge sharing of Astrid

Replication of Views with SAP LT Replication Server

But no lucky.

I have a view V1 generated from table T1 and T2.  Both the tables have primary key.

I raised the replication step-by-step. A table with the same name and structure as the view V1 is created in HANA.

But no data loaded.

 

Does anyone have similar experience?

Issue in HANA to HANA scenario

Hi Experts,

 

We are replicating from HANA DB to HANA DB.

 

We have a strange issue in one of the table while replicating. But other tables are replicating fine.

 

Error: SQL message: sql syntax error: incorrect syntax near "/": line 1 col 221 (at pos 221)

Any one faced this kind of error, any suggestions on how to correct this.
